Biography :
My research interests focus on the intersection between gender, nationalism and capitalism in postcolonial South Asia. Currently, I am working on exploring how nationalist discourses in South Asian countries work to construct female sexuality both as an 'abjection' that harms the sanctity of the heterosexual family unit and a useful mechanism of conveying national identity.
