Biography
I am a PhD student entering the first year of my studies in the Department of English, with a collaborative specialization in the Massey College Book History and Print Culture program. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English, Socio-Cultural Anthropology and Semiotics, and a Master of Arts in English, both from U of T. My scholarly interests centre on portrayals of landscape in contemporary Canadian literatures, specifically the interactions between landscape, language and literary form. In my dissertation project, I hope to inquire: what are the ethical implications of using land as an aesthetic object in light of imminent climate catastrophe and the extractive legacies of settler colonialism?
