Biography
Lucas Simpson's dissertation studies the representation of sacrifice in early modern English literature and intellectual history. This inquiry involves various overlapping topics, including the reception of classical drama, theological controversies, global encounters with religious ritual, and debates over the execution of rulers. His doctoral research is supported in part by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
