Biography
I am a second year PhD student whose research seeks to enter into conversation with critical work on black diasporas, feminist poetics and the grammars of being. My study engages with contemporary African-American and Black Canadian women poets in collaboration with each other. Along with critiquing the categorical tools, narrative practices and relational methods that seek to order black life on/off the page, I am interested in exploring the socialities and futurities that poetic performances elide and engender through the sources and subjects, the forms and functions of language.
I hold a BA (Honours) in English with a minor in Psychology from the University of Delhi and a MSc. in Literature and Modernity from the University of Edinburgh.
