Professor Lynne Magnusson Presented with 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies

Professor Lynne Magnusson was presented with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies / Société canadienne d’études de la Renaissance at this spring’s Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Montreal, which took place on June 13-15, 2024. This award, representing 'the highest distinction of the CSRS / SCÉR,' recognizes her major and myriad contributions to the flourishing of Renaissance Studies in Canada and abroad.

Professor Magnusson's learned publications span subjects ranging from Shakespeare’s language to discourse analysis and early modern letters. Her directorship of the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies, co-directorship of the Elizabethan Theatre conferences, prestigious board appointments, and decades of mentoring doctoral students highlight her profound impact on the field.
